Story and character models could use some improvement, yet this remains an enjoyable hack-and-slash title. Returning players will appreciate that framerate drops don’t plague it like they did the original game.
The Pawn system in this game is its main draw, enabling you to bring along two non-playable characters on your journey as non-playable Pawns. Rangers and Mage can provide useful assistance, though Warrior players will find them more enjoyable. Furthermore, the remaster also includes substantial new content – an underground realm and Bitterblack Isle are among many new attractions found outside Cassardis village.
