Bayley vs. Rhea Ripley
After winning the 2024 Royal Rumble, Bayley will again face her former tag team partner, Rhea Ripley, in battle royale action. These two have shared several previous matches – most notably at WrestleMania, where Ripley prevailed in her Triple Threat matchup against Bayley.
Ripley has been an essential component of the women’s revolution since her debut, yet has often taken second-stage status to Asuka and other members of Four Horsewomen. Bayley outwitted 29 competitors to claim victory at the 2024 Royal Rumble on Saturday and will have an opportunity to face Ripley head-on in a battle royale matchup.
Both wrestlers have competed against one another on Raw, and this match promises to deliver heart-pounding action that WWE fans are used to seeing. Tune into USA Network at 8:00 P.m. on Monday Night Raw this week – featuring top wrestlers worldwide, captivating storylines, and spectacular feats of wrestling that any fan should witness first-hand! Take it for yourself this Monday – attend this epic wrestling spectacle.
Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes
While WWE fans appreciate both men, Cody Rhodes stands to benefit most from this matchup with Seth Rollins. Not only is putting him against Rollins an insulting performance against his character, but it also violates the logic of Royal Rumble matches.
An encounter between these two is undoubtedly compelling from a storytelling standpoint, yet it is unlikely to live up to all the anticipation surrounding it. That is too bad; this could have been one of WrestleMania’s premier dream matches on Night 1.
The 2024 WWE Draft continues as superstars find out which brand will become their home; while King and Queen of the Ring quarterfinal matches are underway, Becky Lynch settles her years-long feud with Nia Jax by winning the Last Woman Standing match; R-Truth takes on JD McDonagh; New Day take on Imperium while Sami Zayn defends his IC title against Chad Gable in Montreal.
CM Punk vs. Randy Orton
WWE legends CM Punk and Randy Orton will reunite after an extended feud for a historic WrestleMania 27 match that concluded with an RKO from Orton on Punk. In a recent WWE Digitial video, these two discussed this match and how Orton may have had some part in bringing Punk back into WWE.
Punk was released from AEW last year following his altercation with Jack Perry and returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023. Orton expressed his delight at seeing Punk back with WWE, suggesting he even helped bring Punk back.
They also discussed their engaging rivalry during their peak times, when Punk was an upper mid-carder while Orton had long been leading eventer status. Their feud was almost convincing enough that Orton could break apart The New Nexus piecemeal.
